I am honored and blessed to be sharing with you my heart for missions. I don’t claim to know all the answers regarding missions, but as a very dear friend told me once, “Why reinvent the wheel?” God has given me a heart for missionaries, but also a heart for “the equipping of the saints” (Ephesians 4:11-12).
God called me into missions on my first trip in May of 1997. I later discovered He had been training me all my life, with the good, the bad, and the ugly, every season, every trial, and every blessing. It is all for today and the glory of God. It is by no chance that I am called in sharing missions.
Part of my blessing is experiencing God in all He is doing. I have been doing Missions for over 20 years and I have seen God’s miracles performed in many ways and many countries.
Be encouraged—no matter your age or education, whether you are male or female, God has a place for you in missions! Missions is who you are in Christ right where you are in life. Everyone is a missionary! As Jesus commands in Matthew:
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV
I want to leave you with this: Do the work of the ministry with joy and gladness!
